Mobile subscriber base keeps on growing in Brazil

According to Brazilian telecommunications regulator Anatel, the mobile subscriber base in Brazil grew by 2.2 million customers during November 2010. The number of mobile phone users reached 147 million at the end of November, representing a 1.5 percent increase on October and annual growth of 26.4 percent.

In total, the Brazilian has market added 26.1 million new mobile lines during 2008. Prepaid users account for 80.9 percent of customers, with 119.5 million lines, while postpaid has 19.1 percent with 27.5 million lines.
