Voice over IP service provider, Vonage has announced the initial launch of its service in Brazil as part of a joint venture with Datora Telecom. Consumers in select markets in Brazil unlimited calling to landlines throughout the country for a low flat monthly rate through the service. Vonage customers can also make calls to mobiles in Brazil at low, fixed per-minute rates, regardless of the network or time of day. At part of its planned, phased rollout, Vonage will initially market its services in Curitiba and Brasilia and will expand to additional markets in the coming months.
