Ericsson has signed a managed services partnership with Telecomunicações de São Paulo S.A. (Telesp) in Brazil. Under the terms of the contract, Ericsson will operate Telefonica’s network operations centre (NOC) in Sao Paulo.

 The three-year deal also includes core, transmission and ADSL networks. Additionally, Ericsson will be responsible for spare parts management. This contract extends the managed services contract signed between Ericsson and Telefonica Brazil in 2008, when Ericsson was selected to operate and maintain a new multivendor optical fibre network in the Sao Paulo state.
