DirecTV has launched it’s 4G service ‘DirecTV Net’ in Colombia. The service will initially be available in cities of Santa Marta, Cali, Barranquilla, and Chia, Palmira, Barrancabermeja and Monteria. according to Maria Elvira Restrepo, Vicepresidente DirecTV .

It is expected the Colombian operator will expand its 4G internet services across the country with growth plans to reach 57 of the country’s largest cities within the next five years. DirecTV currently provides satellite pay-TV services in Colombia, and plans to initially offer 4G fixed internet services to its existing 900,000 pay-TV subscribers.
