AT&T shows interest in entering Mexican market

AT&TAT&T has held a meeting with the Mexican regulatory authority Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) –  to address several issues including the new telecoms reform in Mexico.

AT&T was studying the possibility to enter the Mexican market according to recent reports by John Stankey, the companies strategy director.  AT&T is among the firms which may acquire America Movil’s assets in certain regions of the country. Under the new telecoms law, America Movil should sell certain assets in order to avoid further regulations.
